Welcome to Toledo’s Best Gym!
Owners Paul and Jaime wanted to own (and access) a gym that anyone could afford around their schedule! They’d experienced this type of gym in other cities and really loved the convenience and price. After looking at Newport gyms for sale, they ultimately decided to create one in their own hometown. They hope to promote health, in a safe environment, at a reasonable rate for the overall wellness of their community.
Jaime Steenkolk
Jaime has worked in the medical field for over 30 years and became a nurse (LPN) in 2014. She enjoys working on both the administrative and clinical side of medicine. Jaime has mostly focused on oncology & working with cancer patients. Fitness is very important to Jaime and part of her own wellness strategy and she looks forward to sharing her passion with all of Toledo!

Paul Steenkolk
Paul Steenkolk was born and raised in Toledo, Oregon. After finishing college at Southwestern, he moved to Eugene where he lived for over 20 years. Paul has two bachelors degrees in Athletic Training and Corporate Wellness. He was the Director of the Downtown Athletic Club for many years. He and Jaime met and married in Eugene, and in 2016, made the decision to move back to Toledo to be closer to family. Paul is currently the district manager for the Greater Toledo Pool Recreation District.
